Celtics Game Full of Family and Fun

 

It is the goal of the Family Life Committee to organize events for brothers to enjoy with the company of their friends and family outside of the fraternity. 

 

On March 14, the Family Life Committee hosted a night out in the city to watch the Boston Celtics face-off against the Phoenix Suns at the TD Garden in Boston, MA. There were over 31 families present and an astounding number of 117 people!

 

Before the game, commemorative t-shirts were handed out to members, families, and friends. All had the opportunity to enjoy complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages in the West End room at the Garden. Some children of a few Scottish Rite members even had the opportunity to join the Celtics players on the parquet floor!

Top 5 Ways to Recruit

 

Whether its in youth organizations like DeMolay and Rainbow, adult organizations like blue lodge Freemasonry, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shrine, or any other non-Masonic membership based organization, recruitment is a topic that is always on the back of everyone's mind. While we don't always actively recruit members, we should still let common principles guide our actions when dealing with those interested in participating in our organizations.

Farewell to the Membership 

 

Given a last opportunity to speak to the membership of the Valley of Boston, I wonder what message can possibly resonate with the brethren beyond today. Of course, I want to thank the membership, the officers, and Past Most Wise Masters for their time, efforts and counsel. I look forward to expressing these sentiments on a more personal level with a look in the eyes and a heartfelt handshake.  

 

I want to thank the other Presiding Officers of the Valley with whom I have served. Their friendship and fraternalism mean very much to me.
