Have You Seen the Masonic Tartan?

 

The official masonic tartan is a thing of beauty with its cross hatch of colors changing from purple to yellow, blue to red, and just about everything in between. However, not many people know the history of the tartan and where it came from. 

 
In 2004, the tartan was sponsored by the Grand Lodge of Utah. Tartans have often been symbols to identify families, so the tartan was designed with the entire masonic family in mind. The tartan was designed by Anne Carroll Gilmour
