Massachusetts Consistory Guard
The Valley of Boston is home to many distinguished groups, each serving a different purpose that is key to the Valley’s operation. One of the groups that is at the forefront of the Valley is the Consistory Guard of Massachusetts Consistory.
This small group of dedicated men assist Massachusetts Consistory, and the Valley as a whole in a variety of different ways. The Guard serves the Valley on meeting days by handing out parking vouchers, checking dues cards, and preparing candidates for the day’s degree work. During the 32° the Guard assists Consistory by leading the Officers both in and out of the lodge room under an arch of steel. Outside of the bi-annual degree classes, the Guard often travels outside of the Valley of Boston with the Massachusetts Deputy, Ill∴ Donald Moran, 33°. Assisting Bro. Moran with the presentation of Awards to the recipients.
On top of honorably serving the Valley, the Guard is a close knit group of friends that often have social events of their own. The members of the Guard often visit each others home lodges, for both blue lodge and Royal-Arch Masonry. Spreading good will between York Rite and Scottish Rite. The Consistory Guard also hosts regular dinners and social outings for its members and their ladies.
This fantastic Consistory group is open to all members of Massachusetts Consistory, regardless of their home Valleys. However, the Guard has a membership cap of 25 people. If you are interested in joining the organization the proper person to contact is Geoffrey Kromer, the Captain of the Guard. If they are currently at their cap, fear not! The Guard has a reserve list that they often pull new members up from.
